Nature will always be an unending source of inspiration for me. From the southern edge of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, is where I came into this world (circa 1978). An incredibly beautiful place, this is also where my love affair with the woods began. My earliest cognizance is of cool sandy earth between my toes with the sun shining through the twisted forms of pitch pine, surrounded by mixed hardwoods and the presence of my brothers and sisters on the same adventure. One of five, they served as my earliest companions, exploring nature together and now walk through this world on individually unique paths but with a shared point of origin. Each time I go back…the light, trees, smells and connection to what once was fills me with nostalgia and refuels my hope for what can be. For those hours while painting, I am home.
